Design and Technology

I am interested in emerging technologies and their potential to advance architectural practice. In particular, I am drawn to digitally-informed design, full-systems modeling, and computer-controlled fabrication.

I believe that these tools play a crucial role in helping architects deliver sustainable buildings through increased manufacturing efficiencies and the ability to test all aspects of a building's systems, both passive and active, in software prior to construction. Furthermore, by leveraging leading-edge digital prototyping architects are able to explore more design possibilities while mitigating the risk that comes with new and untested ideas.
